this young family was fantastic to shoot. at sunset i had the chance to join them at a park and just hang out while snapping away and really got to capture the personality of their spunky little girl. new life is always the best to capture. especially when its just learning to walk.

cheers.

this orange county wedding was a blast to shoot. i had the chance to hang out with all the guys as they were getting ready and instantly i knew that it was going to be a humble party with some sincere people. and as always the fullerton arboretum was a perfect backdrop to the lovely heather and tyler. check out all of the festivities below!

enjoy!

and thanks again to your inner song for letting me assist in telling the story. great day!

its easy to tell when photography is important to a couple on their wedding day. with these types of clients, you dont attend a wedding as someone hired to take photos, but you attend as a friend there to capture the tender moments that the couple will be able to enjoy and return to for the rest of their lives.

this wedding was just that. from the start i was welcomed into the celebration as i started by covering terry’s getting ready and was soon set free to capture the day’s events as they unfolded. with the smog shoppe as venue and as our backdrop, nothing could go wrong.

thanks jessica and terry for the love and for the celebration.

a few weeks ago i had the opportunity to take my fiancé back to my hometown to visit my family and celebrate our coming wedding. while reflecting on the future and the excitement it holds i found my thoughts drifting back to the times of old when i was still a child and when everything was so new and undiscovered.

these images are a manifestation of my reflection and an attempt to capture moments of the roads that i’ve travelled.

enjoy my ‘roads; past:’

1. my dad holding me at birth
2. seat belt of my dad’s first truck that used to carry us (my dad an i) around town
3. photo of my sister and i hanging at my grandparent’s along with a collage of other photographs documenting their lives
4. piano i would spend my days trying to teach myself music while never making any progress
5. grandma in all of her smiles
6. grandpa wearing a fishing sweater - hints back to our times on the lake hunting for trout
7. basketball hoop that helped occupy my summers in elementary
8. great-grandmother’s painting that hangs above my mom’s chair where you’ll often find her reading or knitting
9. ukrainian mandolin that’s had a home in my childhood room for some time
10. ‘grace’ - hung over our family as we ate weekly family meals at my grandmother’s home - i can still taste the love she put into every meal
.

welcome to the new format. thanks for stopping by.

i’m excited to announce that a lot of exciting and new things will be developing these coming years and after a brief bit of deliberation, a blogsite seemed the best solution in order to accurately document and present the new work that is to come from these new happenings. i am dedicated to telling stories with my images so this site format falls into place perfectly with my philosophy as it will enable me to document and tell the story of any new photography ventures that come my way, whether it be as i travel to jamaica towards the end of the year or as i capture the love shared by two people on their wedding day.

over the next few weeks i will be filling the ranks of this site with old as well as new content so please check back frequently and if you wish, drop me a line through the contact form and inquire about pricing packages and my availability, i’d love to be your photographer and your storyteller.

be colorful.

calebshe’s just as excited as i am about all of the good things that are about to happen. ;)

cheers.
